The third annual IMMERSE Symposium will be held on April 28th and 29th at the Illinois Conference Center (first day) and at NCSA (second day) at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
The interdisciplinary DNA of IMMERSE - combining immersive technologies, applications, and human experience - makes this symposium a unique meeting of leaders from academia and industry to foster collaborations and build community for research, education, and infrastructure to enable the era of immersive computing.
This year’s program highlights our advances in distributed compute, low latency wireless communication, and AI for immersive computing, with their transformative potential for healthcare, storytelling, and learning, driven by a holistic human experience framework. The interdisciplinary program builds on these themes with plenary keynotes and panels followed by breakout workshops and discussions to further a collaborative agenda to advance immersive computing. As in previous years, the symposium will have an interactive posters and demos session. New this year, we invite demo submissions from the broader community to showcase interdisciplinary projects and relevant products.
