Scott Ledgerwood

Biography

Scott Ledgerwood leads the User Interface/User Experience portfolio at the National Institute of Standards and Technology – Public Safety Communications Research Division. He focuses on improving usability and user interface testing for first responders. His team is developing new test methodologies leveraging VR and AR to enable improved research, testing, and development of first responder technologies. He oversees the Public Safety Immersive Test Center located in Boulder, Colorado. The PSITC provides opportunities to conduct immersive public safety standards and measurement testing in a large-scale XR environment.  Over the past 5 years, Scott has funded 22 grants, 6 prize challenges, and an SBIR all focused on VR and AR for public safety totaling over $20 million dollars.
